Form & Figure

Gallery 1

Since prehistoric times, the human figure has held a prominent role in the history of art. As the techniques, materials and ideologies have evolved over the centuries, artists have developed a broad visual language and vocabulary for expression. From realist photography, to painted abstracted forms, this group exhibition will examine the unique ways in which artists working in diverse backgrounds and varied artistic traditions interpret and present the human form. The show will feature various works by Hung Liu, Morgan Brig, David DeVillier, Linda Christensen, Judith Kindler, Margaret Keelan, and Luis Gonzalez Palma, Jane Rosen, and Anne Siems.
